TIPICA NOVEL / CHARANGA MUSIC & DANCE @ David Rubenstein Atrium, Lincoln Center NYC
Fri, Apr 10, 7:30-9pm (Details)
Formed in NYC over 60 years ago, Tipica Novel is a celebrated ensemble rooted in traditional Cuban Charanga orchestration (flute, violins, and rhythm section) with a distinctly contemporary salsa sound.
While many of the combo's original members have come and gone, the swing and magnetism of the band remains the same. Currently under the musical directorship of the renowned Panamanian flautist Mauricio Smith Jr., T?pica Novel proudly keeps the legacy of the New York charanga sound alive. DJ Tres Dos is behind the DJ booth for the night.
